Strawberry Pineapple Kale Smoothie

A power-packed, nutritious smoothie that doesn’t even taste healthy! An absolute must for your mornings!

I hope you all had a wonderful 3-day holiday weekend. My boys partied a little too hard so we are in full recovery mode with this power-packed smoothie.

It’s a green smoothie that doesn’t taste “green” at all, mixed in with a creamy strawberry layer. So if you have any doubts about this whole green smoothie trend, well, at least half of the smoothie will be on familiar grounds.

Either way, you’ll still love the green layer on top, sweetened with bananas and pineapple – a wonderful tropical kick to your busy mornings!

This is so cute! I’d be more than happy to wake up to this!

I would love to have a pretty breakfast like this right now!

I would love to have a pretty breakfast like this right now! So pretty!

Mmm…this sounds like the perfect breakfast this summer! I love the two-toned color combo, too!

Why has the Pinterest link disappeared on your recipe pages? The only pin available is for your entire site, not individual recipes anymore.

Cathy, I am a little confused with your question as there is a pin it button on top of every recipe. You can also pin any image by hovering your mouse over the picture.

This is a perfect combination. I can’t wait to try this drink. It is so awesome when my family drink it in the morning. Thank you so much.

this smoothie sounds terrific! I was just wondering if you could leave out the apple juice or substitute something else? I’m trying to watch the extra calories from fruit juices.

Yes, absolutely. The apple juice just really provides added sweetness to the smoothie.

I just substituted water and crushed ice for the apple juice!

I want to love kale. I always adore the color it adds to those beautiful power-packed smoothies but I’ve never found a recipe I liked yet that contained it. When I got it in my CSA box this week I decided to try again with this recipe. I have FINALLY found the smoothie I love with this awesome veg. And my girls didn’t even realize they were eating it with this one. Win-Win! Thank You.

That great ! It is so awesome when my family drink it in the morning, Thank friend, Chungah !

Can you make this the day before ? Wondering how long it keeps in the frig.

Stephanie, this is really best when served immediately.

Each recipe shows percentage daily intake for carbs, fats, proteins etc. Be interested to see the same for the sugar content!

Just made this amazing shake and cant tell your how great the taste was and the color combination was a pleasant surprise as well thank you for sharing this recipe …. I will be making this again. I used frozen peaches instead of strawberries and loved the combination:) I really think the apple juice was the hit in this drink!

My kids will love it so much. This is great & looks so delish. I will try the best. Now I can change my menu regularly for my family, esp. for my kids. Thank you 🙂

Can you cut this in half to make just one serving so the Second doesnt go to waste?

Great post, Chungah !

I love this. Tried it yesterday, exact to the recipe, and again today using raspberries and blackberries and swapping out half the apple juice for some coconut water, and mixing in some chai seeds for extra goodness. I love it. Doesn’t taste of kale at all, and I actually prefer the green juice layer to the strawberry smoothie layer! I’m going to be making this one a lot. I also put this smoothie up on my own blog, but I hyperlinked the recipe to this page, if that’s ok?

This week I bought a Vitamix at Costco. Hubby and I had been studying blenders for awhile and my daughter said this is what they use at the coffee cafe she works at. So, after scouring the internet for smoothie ideas, I decided this should be my first smoothie recipe. We love it! Made it as directed except squeezed the juice out of 1/2 of a lemon so that I could use it up. My berries were frozen and my pineapple whole fresh and I think I may have added a bit more than called for. I also used power greens from Costco. I’m happy that husband enjoyed it also. This will be going into my Pinerest smoothie folder. Thank you for sharing.
