Slow Cooker Chicken Caesar Wraps

Everyone’s favorite wrap made right in the slow cooker! The chicken is so tender, juicy and melt-in-your-mouth amazing!

The Christmas tree is done.

I still have a few ornaments coming.

At the end of the day.

Your tree is NEVER done.

But while I figure out how much more I can add, let’s talk about this wrap.

The classic All-American caesar wrap.

Except you can make it right in your crockpot.

Forget it. And boom.

You’ll have wraps for days.

We need extra extra croutons.

Slow Cooker Chicken Caesar Wraps

Yield: 8 servings

Prep Time: 15 minutes

Cook Time: 4 hours 30 minutes

Total Time: 4 hours 45 minutes

Everyone’s favorite wrap made right in the slow cooker! The chicken is so tender, juicy and melt-in-your-mouth amazing!

Ingredients:

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 cups Caesar dressing, divided
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • 1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan, divided
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley leaves
  • 8 (8-inch) flour tortillas, warmed
  • 4 cups shredded romaine lettuce
  • 1/2 cup croutons, homemade or store-bought

Directions:

  1. Place chicken into a 6-qt slow cooker. Stir in 1 1/2 cups Caesar dressing, chicken broth, garlic powder and onion powder; season with salt and pepper, to taste.
  2. Cover and cook on low heat for 4 hours. Remove chicken from the slow cooker and shred, using two forks, before returning to the pot; drain excess liquid.
  3. Stir in remaining 1/2 cup Caesar dressing, 1/4 cup Parmesan and parsley. Cover and cook on high heat for 15-30 minutes, or until hot.
  4. Leaving a 1-inch border all around, layer each tortilla with chicken mixture, romaine lettuce, croutons and remaining Parmesan. Fold in sides by about 1 inch, then roll up tightly from the bottom.
  5. Serve immediately.

How long do leftovers last? Do they freeze well?

Unfortunately, I cannot answer this with certainty as I have never tried freezing this myself – there were no leftovers left to freeze! Please use your best judgment for freezing and reheating.

This recipe looks so tasty and the perfect thing to make for work.

Any recommendations on Caesar dressing brands? I typically buy the Marie’s dressing in the refrigerated section, but didn’t know if that would come apart in the crock pot.

This is one of my favorite homemade recipes!

Do you have a favorite Caesar Dressing? Or a recipe perhaps? I have tried a few dressings and haven’t found one that I really like.

what kind or brand of caesar dressing do you use for this yummy looking wrap? Your
recipes are sooooo good.

Do you have the nutritional information for this dish?

The nutritional information is listed below the recipe.

Made this today, it was delicious!! Your recipe was perfectly timed as I had four chicken breasts in the fridge that I needed to find something to do with and we just happen to always have Newman’s Own Caesar dressing in our fridge. Super easy and tasty. Thank you! I love your recipes!

Oh my, these look heavenly!

I have some rather large chicken breasts. Can you tell me approximately how much chicken you used?

I used about 2 pounds.

These were incredibly tasty!! We loved every last bite. Please tell me how you got them to wrap so beautifully. Mine did not look like the picture…and both my husband and I tried to achieve the perfectness you displayed in your picture of this delicious meal . 🙂 Please give us some pointers if you have a chance!

It’s best to wrap them as tightly as possible! 🙂

I make chicken caesar wraps but never thought to make them in the slow cooker- brilliant! Trying this! 🙂

Looks good but the sodium content is kind of scary.

Great! I make these at least once a month as a quick, delicious and light meal.

This was a great, easy meal! I used Newman’s Own dressing but next time will probably try the homemade dressing recommended in the comments.

I made this last night and it was awesome. Everyone in my house is wanting lighter meals for dinner so I have been combing the net for ideas when I saw this. I almost didn’t click on it because I thought…oh boring a chicken wrap but it is so savory and so EASY. Cooking the chicken in the slow cooker with the Cesar dressing is genius. I even found the spinach burrito tortillas at my grocery store….and who doesn’t like Cesar salad? My husband ate 2! I made it just like the recipe. Maybe I don’t have any creativity because I never would have thought to prepare the chicken in this fun, easy and very tasty way. Thanks! It’s going into rotation 😉 I’m going to buy your cookbook.

This is a silly question, but when you say “drain excess liquid ” in Step 2. Do you mean drain liquid resulting from the shredding of the chicken (before you put it back in the slow cooker) or drain the liquid used in the slow cooker to cook the chicken?
