Where has these hash browns been all my life?

I’m always babysitting hash browns on the stovetop, letting them get crisp, flipping, waiting for more crispness and flipping again and again.

But not anymore.

Instead, we have individual foil packets for your convenience using Reynolds Wrap® Heavy Duty Foil.

This is a heavier gauge foil than your traditional Reynolds Wrap, which makes it perfect for making multiple size packets for the grill, oven or even your camping trips.

Now I should mention. Full disclosure.

These are not your traditional crisp hash browns.

Instead, we have hash browns smothered in ham and cheese.

With nutrients and flavors sealed right in, and you can eat straight from the foil packet!

Ham, cheese and lack of dishes trumps crispness, right?

Ham and Cheese Hash Brown Foil Packets

Yield: 6 servings

Prep Time: 15 minutes

Cook Time: 25 minutes

Total Time: 40 minutes

The EASIEST hash browns you will ever make. Simply prep, wrap and bake! No babysitting! So quick and simple!

Ingredients:

  • 1 (30-ounce) package frozen shredded hash browns
  • 1 1/2 cups chopped smoked ham
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh chives

Directions:

  1. PREHEAT oven to 400 degrees F.
  2. COMBINE hash browns, ham, olive oil, salt and pepper in a large bowl.
  3. CUT six sheets of Reynolds Wrap® Heavy Duty Foil, about 12-16-inches long. Lightly oil or coat with nonstick spray. Divide the hash brown mixture into 6 equal portions and add to the center of each foil. Sprinkle with cheese.
  4. FOLD up all 4 sides of each foil packet over the hash browns, covering completely and sealing the packets closed.
  5. PLACE foil packets on a baking sheet. Place into oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese has melted and the hash browns are heated through.
  6. SERVE immediately, garnished with chives, if desired.
